Brief: Write 2,000-word feature article for Saybrook’s digital magazine that explains how their social-justice, “humanistic psychology” approach to postgraduate education has impacted current and past police officers who learned from their social-change focused curriculum. (March 2017.)

Response: Conducted research and interviews with students, professors and alumni about the humanistic approach at the heart of Saybrook’s curriculum and how this impacted a number of police officers who received their psychology degrees from this private university. The article examined the psychology of police officers and delved into the ways in which power dynamics, social inequality, and mental health should all affect a community’s policing program. Read article here.
